Páh! 2025 (in post production)

A 30 minutes dance video inspired by Baby Bobolete, with original choreographies by Brazilian dancers Lucas David, Aura Guimarães and Paulo Montorio.

I compiled an archive with 6 hours of Bobolete skits from the Treme-Treme show, which the dancers used as research material for their own creations. Each dancer focused on a different aspect of the character’s body language, isolating it and developing into dance. I (lightly) directed their creation process and documented the performances in 3 spaces of queer labor: a beauty salon, an Umbanda temple and an art school. The production took place in 2023 with a team consisting of myself, Gio Fiamoncini, Ulisses Serafim, Marília Rossdeutscher, Luara Hildebrand, Capistrano Salvador, Mary Hoppe, Bibs Cordeiro, Luiz Sedrez, Lukas Eggert, Lucas Schmitz and Vee Ortiz.

Currently in post-production, to premiere in a festival TBD in 2025.
